The small print
Room for everyone
How we try to keep this site readable, and what to do when we fail.
What we build in
Body text sits at a comfortable size against a warm off-white rather than pure white, and we hold the contrast of text against its background above the usual threshold. Headings follow a real order so a screen reader can skim the page. Every photograph carries a description written for someone who cannot see it, and the buy buttons announce the product they belong to rather than saying only the word here.
Moving around without a mouse
Every link and button can be reached with the keyboard and shows a visible ring when it has focus. There is a skip link at the very top of each page that jumps straight to the main content. Nothing on this site moves, flashes or plays by itself, and nothing times out.
Reading on a small screen
Pages reflow to one column rather than scrolling sideways, and the comparison table stacks into labelled rows instead of becoming a horizontal scroller. Text can be enlarged to twice its size in your browser without losing content behind an edge.
Accessibility is never finished
There will be things we have got wrong, and we would rather be told than guess. Write to us with the page and what went wrong with it. We treat these as defects rather than as suggestions, and we fix them in the next rebuild of the site.

The mark we use across the site, kept at a size that stays legible when a page is zoomed.
